Nothing gets a photographer nervous like a 2pm wedding ceremony outside without a cloud in the sky and the sun beating down on us, but lately I've been practicing for moments like this. In the end, I am pretty excited on how most the photos turned out. Luckily, Connor & Misty's wedding took place at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, which is a gorgeous location, and this intimate wedding fit perfectly here.
We were able to find a few amazing spots in the garden that made for amazing photos before the ceremony. Unfortunately, the schedule started running hours behind, and we were rushed through the pre-ceremony photos, but the photos we did take were amazing!
The ceremony is what was the most challenging, being in a spot with no shade, the harsh light really took out a lot of skin color and softness out of the photos. I found getting in close and trying to even my light out as much as possible to be the best result.
The ceremony took place down the street at the Grand Bohemian Hotel was short and sweet with snacks, cakes and toasts before sending Connor & Misty through a bubble send-off.
