Bowling Like Kings

As someone who grew up hanging out in smoky bowling alleys, playing bowling alley arcade games, and later on bowling competitively (thanks Mom and Dad), I never really fancy the idea of going to a bowling alley. So when Jonas saw bowling on YouTube (thanks Bucket List Family) he immediately wanted to go. Now some may call it luck, others divinity, and some may say fate… But the same week, I got an E-mail from King’s Bowl in Franklin, TN to bring the family bowling and enjoy some food and drinks. Revisiting South Africa 2014

It was the August of 2014 and I just got my very first camera, a Sony NEX-7 with a Ziess 55mm f1.8, which you could probably buy together for under $1000 now. Most all my photos were shot at crazy settings like 1/4000 sec and 1.8, and I don't think I had any clue what I was doing. I wanted to go back and see what it would look like if I took some time and revisited these photos to compare to what I've been shooting lately, and I must say, I'm really impressed with how these photos hold up 4 years later.

Portland to San Francisco: Vol. 1

My 30th birthday present to myself, a trip from Portland to San Francisco, came with an extra gift from my wife, as about two weeks before, Jess and I found out we were going to be parents. We've always said that we don't want having children to slow us down, so without second guessing our decision we boarded a plane from Nashville to Portland.
