Pigeon Forge - Summer of 2016

There's a few memories I have from going to Pigeon Forge when I was young, staying at the Holiday Inn, but this isn't the Pigeon Forge I remember any more. Except the Holiday Inn part, that's still pretty much the same. Pigeon Forge has grown to be one of the most family friendly places I've ever been, so when I was asked to photograph Pigeon Forge I knew I wanted to capture not only the fun environment, but the history of this town.

Postcards from January 2017

January surprised Nashville with a beautiful, and very cold, snow day where I ran around the pedestrian bridge and took a quick shot at Bicentennial Park before ducking in a coffee shop for a quick warm up. I made a fortunate connection to get access to the Westin Nashville rooftop as well as the L&C building rooftop to take some scenic Nashville photos. Relient K Live

After getting to help Relient K create an album cover for their latest album, Air For Free, the Matts invited me out to help capture their live performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium. The light was rough and the angles were difficult, but the performance was captivating. After almost 20 years, Relient K's lyrical vulnerability has created a real connection between the band and their fans, and the emotion of the audience during these performances are palpable. It was a joy to capture how much fun they have, like doing a push up and jumping jack on the stage, or just the countless number of smiles on the faces of the audience.

Concert photos from 10.09.2016 in Nashville, TN.

Half lazy, half way too complicated to be easily told, I haven't really tried to understand myself and my story. So here's the beginning of my journey into social media and the photography world.

Portland to San Francisco: Vol. 1

My 30th birthday present to myself, a trip from Portland to San Francisco, came with an extra gift from my wife, as about two weeks before, Jess and I found out we were going to be parents. We've always said that we don't want having children to slow us down, so without second guessing our decision we boarded a plane from Nashville to Portland.
